烏克蘭基輔國家歌劇院，一伙蒙面歹徒突然闖入演出大廳，挾持在場(chǎng)數(shù)百名音樂家和觀眾。未過多久，烏克蘭特警部隊(duì)迅速趕到，并按照既定戰(zhàn)術(shù)突入進(jìn)去。與此同時(shí)，幾名神秘之人換上特警部隊(duì)肩章，趁亂潛入歌劇院，救出被困的美國大使。神秘人之一的男主“無名”（約翰·大衛(wèi)·華盛頓 John David Washington 飾）雖然一度順利完成任務(wù)，卻身不由己置身死地。當(dāng)他再度醒來，則被告知失去原有身份，此后將加入一個(gè)名為“信條”的秘密組織，去執(zhí)行一項(xiàng)阻止世界毀滅的重大任務(wù)。早在歌劇院時(shí)，他便見識(shí)了一次逆轉(zhuǎn)子彈的奇怪現(xiàn)象。而如今著手的任務(wù)，似乎正與逆轉(zhuǎn)的子彈乃至逆轉(zhuǎn)的時(shí)間息息相關(guān)。
