前后制作長(zhǎng)達(dá)四年，只有39個(gè)鏡頭，卻與七個(gè)不同的攝影師合作，從美國、匈牙利、德國、法國等，以不同攝影師的獨(dú)特風(fēng)格創(chuàng)造出不同的精采片段，劇情以輪轉(zhuǎn)式的從某一個(gè)角色的觀點(diǎn)游移到另一個(gè)角色，鯨魚馬戲團(tuán)在小鎮(zhèn)上的出現(xiàn)，超過六百名的非職業(yè)臨時(shí)演員，融合了早期紀(jì)錄劇情片式的真實(shí)，加上精準(zhǔn)的場(chǎng)面調(diào)度及強(qiáng)烈的視覺風(fēng)格，以表現(xiàn)出東歐社會(huì)的現(xiàn)況，一塊身處在歐洲社會(huì)的中央，卻是國際社會(huì)最邊緣局外的景況。
