墨西哥華雷斯城作為美國的「後院」，接連發(fā)生姦殺案，數(shù)以百計女工遇害，光天化日被棄屍荒野，兇徒一直逍遙法外?？鐕髽I(yè)只知剝削廉價女工，警界貪贓枉法，政府罔顧人命，惡勢力橫行，只有社區(qū)組織與民間電臺發(fā)出微弱的抗議聲音。女幹探嫉惡如仇勇字當(dāng)頭，但到底無能為力。初來埗到的少女，來到血汗工廠打工，已一步步走到虎口之下。《神父禁戀》導(dǎo)演根據(jù)真實案件改編，沒有讓人血脈賁張的驚慄追兇，更多是沉痛的省思與控訴。格局之精，跟奧斯卡最佳外語片《謎情追兇》（３４屆）不遑多讓。
